    The Mattes Trekking saddle pad, benefits from Mattes technical design in a square saddle pad with two large pockets for all the things you’ll need during your ride. It is easy to open and close and doesn’t interfere with your legs or the control of your horse.

    Perfect for long distance rides or just hacking out, having the benefit of being able to securely store kit such as a mobile, money, credit cards, even a drink or a snack in two fitted pockets one on either side of your saddle pad.

      Size Guide

      Mattes Trekking Saddle Pads

      • Measurement A-B (Back Length) - Measure along the spine of the pad, from front to back.
      • Measurement C-D (Depth) - Measure from the top to the bottom of the pad..
      • Measurement E-F (Sheepskin Area) - The measurement will show you where the sheepskin underside will come to, if you choose any option with sheepskin that sits underneath the pad.
      • Measurement G-H (Width) - Measure half way down your current pad from front to back.
      • If you require sheepskin on the top, please allow 3cm overlap for each section when measuring for the correct length A-B (e.g. if you want front and back top sheepskin and your pad is 58cm long, deduct 6cm so 52cm is the space you can fit your saddle into.)

      If you love long distance rides, or trekking with your horse or pony, even if you are out for just a short leisurely ride, having somewhere on your horse to store kit such as a mobile, waterproofs, drink or a snack would be very useful.

      Introducing the new Mattes Trekking Saddle Pad, which has two large pockets for all the things you’ll need during your ride. It is easy to open and close and doesn’t interfere with your legs or the control of your horse.

      The core of the Long Distance pad is made of two layers: POLY-FLEX® (a deep-needled polyester felt) is used to maintain the shape and spread the pressure, while polyester wadding provides padding. Mattes completely avoid foam, neoprene or gel, making the whole pad breathable.
