      Size Guide

      Mattes Baroque Saddle Pads

      • Measurement A-B (Back Length) - Measure along the spine of the pad, from front to back.
      • Measurement C-D (Depth) - Measure from the top to the bottom of the pad..
      • Measurement E-F (Sheepskin Area) - The measurement will show you where the sheepskin underside will come to, if you choose any option with sheepskin that sits underneath the pad.
      • Measurement G-H (Width) - Measure half way down your current pad from front to back.
      • Measurement I-J (Skirt Depth) - This is a deeper flare than most other Baroque Style Pads so please ensure that this measurement is suitable for your horse. It is taken from the top of the pad at the back, to the lower-most point of the Skirt.
      • If you require sheepskin on the top, please allow 3cm overlap for each section when measuring for the correct length A-B (e.g. if you want front and back top sheepskin and your pad is 58cm long, deduct 6cm so 52cm is the space you can fit your saddle into.)

      Returns & exchanges

      Every order is checked by our team before it goes into production. If anything isn’t right when it arrives (faulty or incorrect), we’ll work with you to put it right.

      In-stock items: may be returned for a refund within 14 days of delivery, provided items are unused and returned in original condition.

      Despite its baroque appearance, this saddle pad is shaped specifically for English all purpose saddles. The cut is designed to sit neatly under the saddle without excess material, maintaining balance and stability during use.

      Materials and finish options

      This saddle pad can be made in a choice of: Cotton, Cotton Sheen or Velvet, a wide selection of colours and decorative rope options is available, allowing the pad to be configured to match individual preferences or existing tack.

      Sheepskin options and comfort

      The pad can be configured with different sheepskin options to support comfort and pressure distribution. Genuine Mattes lambskin helps regulate temperature, reduce friction, and provide natural cushioning, making it suitable for sensitive horses or longer periods of work.
