The Sprenger Turnado Eggbutt bit is distinguished by its innovative design, featuring a joint tilted forward by 45 degrees. This unique angle ensures an even distribution of pressure across the horse’s tongue, making it particularly beneficial for horses with sensitive tongues. Additionally, the bit’s design helps to avoid palatal pressure, a common issue with traditional single-jointed bits.
The bit shanks of conventional single jointed bits are manufactured to different lengths, which means that slightly more pressure is always exerted on one side. With a Sprenger Turnado bit you avoid this problem. The rotation is characterized by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasting) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit. The TURNADO bit is also suitable for horses with slight tongue problems.
The Sprenger Turnado bit is made from a Sensogan alloy and encourages the horse to chew by specifically stimulating the flow of saliva. This increases the acceptance of the bits – for a satisfied and motivated four-legged partner at your side.
The classic single jointed eggbut snaffle is an ideal everyday bit and is suitable for a wide range of applications. It is also a good choice for young and in particular horses with sensitive tongues. The fixed side pieces of this bit allow the rein aid to be transferred directly to the horse’s tongue and lower jaw. In addition, they are gentle on the sensitive corners of the mouth and offer a slight lateral limitation, which enables a particularly calm position in the horse’s mouth.
