I’m Denise, the founder of Pink Equine, and I wanted to personally welcome you and share a little about why I started this journey.
Like so many of us, my love for horses began young. I was just eight when I first sat in the saddle, and by thirteen, I had saved every bit of pocket money I could. My grandad made me a promise, whatever I saved, he’d match. That deal led me to my very first pony, a dream come true!
I kept him at the local stables and worked there to cover his keep, learning not just about riding, but the dedication, responsibility, and deep bond that comes with horse ownership.
By sixteen, I had my first horse. Over the last 40+ years, I’ve spent my life riding, breeding, and caring for horses—always searching for ways to give them the best.
But there was one thing I could never find: horse tack that ticked all the right boxes.
I wanted tack that was:
✔ Made from high-quality materials
✔ Designed with comfort and fit in mind
✔ Stylish and unique
✔ Reasonably priced — without compromising on quality
That’s why, in 2007, with the help of my husband, I launched Pink Equine. The name reflects our belief that colour and individuality should have a place in the equestrian world.
Pink Equine was the first company to introduce bridles and headcollars with coloured leather padding. It took a long time to find the perfect leather — soft, durable, and ready to use without endless oiling — but we finally found it. And to this day, we still use the same Italian supplier.
In fact, some of our very first customers are still riding in their original bridles from 2007!
But it wasn’t just about colour — fit was just as important. One-size-fits-all never works in practice. Horses come in all shapes and builds, so we developed a mix-and-match system where you can customise each part of your bridle for the perfect fit. (Think cob-size headpiece with full-size cheekpieces — no problem!)
It’s been an incredible 18-year journey! While our designs have evolved and our collection has expanded, our mission has never changed:

Each piece is made to order, by hand, and takes around 4–6 weeks to craft — but I promise, it’s worth the wait. Alongside our classic black, brown, and tan options, we remain the only company offering over 30 subtle piping colours across our bridles, browbands, headcollars, and girths — plus optional handset Swarovski crystals for a truly unique finish.
