    Mattes Custom Dressage Boots with Detachable Sheepskin Linings, carefully designed in conjunction with the famous German Dressage Rider and Trainer Klaus Balkenhol.

    The unmistakable design of Mattes dressage horse boots allow a completely unhindered movement of the fetlock joint – in Dressage, no protection is necessary on the outside of the joint, but on the inside, the hard shell is indispensable.

    Each horse boot is lined with the softest 100% genuine sheepskin available in a range of different colours that provide pressure relief and protection from friction. The Mattes dressage horse boots lining can be easily removed for washing. Click the “Design Yours” button below.

      Size Guide

      Mattes Dressage Boots

      • Measurement A-B (Cannon Bone Circumference) - around your horses cannon bone.
      • Measurement C-D (Length) - Measure from the bottom of the horses fetlock joint to approx 3cm below the horses knee, allowing enough clearance so that when the horses leg is flexed upwards the boot would not intefere with free movement of the knee.

      Returns & exchanges

      Mattes Custom Dressage Boots with Detachable Sheepskin Linings have been specifically designed in conjunction with the famous German Dressage Rider and Trainer Klaus Balkenhol. The clever design allows a completely unhindered movement of the fetlock joint as no protection is necessary on the outside of the joint, but on the inside, the hard shell is indispensable.

      The lining is made from 100% genuine sheepskin providing pressure relief and protection from friction. Mattes boots linings can be easily removed for washing.

      The outer hard shell is designed to provide maximum protection without touching the fetlock joint, giving freedom of movement and freedom from friction. The rear boots are shaped to provide protection also to the front of the joint.

      The outer shell is available in three colours – White, Black or Brown. The sheepskin lining is available in a wide variety of colours. You can order Mattes fleece boots for your horses front or rear legs only, or as a complete set of four.
